Friday night started out with a trip to Ted Drewes....only the best frozen custard ever! A friend of mine and her girls joined us for the evening. After the ice cream, we made our way through chaotic traffic to find parking a mere 45 minute walk from the show. Cutting through the golf course, up and over numerous hills, we looked at each other with every climb and were disappointed to see we were NOT there yet. We finally made it, only to be hit by a sea of people, but the balloons were really cool to see. As we walked down towards the balloons, I realized we had lost Beki. Took us a bit to find her, thank goodness for cell phones. She had stopped to take a picture and we had kept walking. It was crazy, but we had a good time. It was "adventurous" as our friend would say! Taking pictures was somewhat complicated with all the people and the balloons only lighting up for a few seconds.
On Saturday night, we hosted a work party for some of John's co-workers. It was an awesome night for using the firepit and sharing a few glasses of wine and hors d'oeuvres. John's boss' husband is a fellow photographer and we were able to discuss a few photography issues.

That looks like so much fun! Did they have that while we were there? (Annually) Always feels like there is so much we miss at each location in hind-sight! My favorite is the third one up from the bottom!
