Malaga, Spain Trip

We did another sunny location trip to get a break from the cold that was still upon us.  It wasn't quite beach weather so we did a lot of walking and eating!  Malaga was a beautiful beach city.  We did a city walking tour and ended up a private tour which was really nice.  The city wasn't too crowded yet in March and it was very clean.

The resort, Gran Hotel Miramar, was gorgeous!

As you can see the second tower was never completed and they are working on putting a new roof on.

Sagrada Familia

The Sagrada Familia Basilica is a Roman Catholic Church located in Barcelona, Spain.  It was designed by the Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí who is famous for his unique architectural designs.  Started in 1882, the Basilica is still a work in progress which you can see as cranes still tower over the structure.  There are many themes associated with the Basilica including nature, light, and faith.

We were in awe of this incredible building as you will see in the photos below...just stunning.  I tried my best to capture every aspect, but it was so detailed.

Nature is one of the biggest themes as you can see plants, animals, insects, and fruit were all included in the carvings.

The pillars inside were meant to be trees with large leaves above.
