I love taking photos of the Spring flowers...the soft, fresh colors draw me in. This cherry tree was beautiful. I tried something a little different with this print making it look more like a painting than a photo.
A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it.
I was feeling well enough on Saturday to get out of the house for a bit and enjoy the coming Spring. My husband took us on a little drive to a nearby town known for their daffodil festival.
We will miss the festival, but I got a few shots of the beautiful flowers around town.
It's the week of rainbows and shamrocks...here's a little Irish Blessing to hopefully brighten your week.
Got to enjoy an amazing day with a couple friends out at the Hitchin Lavender Fields. For a little over 4 pounds, you can pick a bag full of fresh lavender. There's a cute gift shop and little cafe where we ate lunch. I got bunches of lavender to dry then figure out what to do with. And although the fields weren't quite in full bloom yet, it was still beautiful out there. I hope to go back and get more picks!
Finally made it to the Cambridge Botanical Garden! And, we love it. Bought our annual pass so that we can enjoy visiting at all seasons of the year. It sits in the heart of Cambridge and is part of Cambridge University. They have a cafe in the garden and also allow picnic lunches on the grounds.
