The Slightly Strange, Unique, and Unusual

I thought it would be fun to post a blog of all the unusual and/or somewhat strange sights that I captured while in England.  And, I did not take a photo of the guy wearing a pink tutu!

The Old and the New

The London Eye - Giant Ferris Wheel

Internet Phone Booth

Really long and narrow river boats

Roller Coasters along the ocean's edge

Garden Gate at St. John's College

Cows grazing inside the city along the river's edge, right behind our hotel in Cambridge.

Long waits for London's "Best" breakfast.  It was pretty good.

Cat mummy at the London Museum.

Inside of the underground...this one resembled a spaceship in my opinion.

Buckingham Palace and Changing of the Guard

The Palace State Rooms are only open for tours during a couple months in the summer, so John and I were lucky to be able to do this tour.  The grandeur of the place will blow your mind.  It's hard to imagine the wealth.  We weren't allowed to take pictures of the inside.  John also made sure I was able to go see the changing of the guard one morning before our Parliament tour.

The Palace Stables

The Queen's Carriage

We waited at least an hour and a half to see the this ceremony in order to get a place at the front of the crowd.  But, there was a nice couple from Texas waiting beside us and two gals from Australia.
