Two weekends ago, my mom and Aunt Bonnie decided to make a visit out. Aunt Bonnie had some photography issues she wanted help with and I learned some things about my software that has been very useful! My mom, as it turned out, had a bad case of Bronchitis the whole time she was here, but she was a trooper and went with us everywhere. We gathered our camera equipment and headed out. Was going to give Bonnie a great view of the city, but the water tower was closed. So we went to lunch and took pictures of the arch from the Illinois side of the river. While mom slept in the car, Aunt Bonnie and I, what a sight we must have been, hauled ourselves up onto the wall to get that perfect shot. The next day we headed out to the Alton area where we were looking for bird shots along the river. That didn't pan out too well either, but we did get to hit a great flea market and lunch at an historic home. We then headed to the Bird Reserve to see if we could catch anything there. We scared everything away we even tried to get close to. But, the dragonfly was very cooperative.
We were getting a little frustrated at the lack of photographic opportunities we were getting, so Aunt Bonnie and I took matters into our own hands. We parked and walked down road that led out to the dam and had "no entering" posted on the gate. Playing dumb females and me saying the whole time..."Aunt Bonnie I don't think this is a good idea. We are so going to get busted," we ventured on down the road. But we didn't, and we got some great shots of a flock of birds, which I think are pelicans. Hmmm...could be wrong on that.
We edited pictures until we couldn't think anymore and I'm sure drove my mom crazy with all the photoshop talk.
My website is almost ready to publish...just squaring away a few more things. Considering doing a weekend craft show at the high school. Working on another project involving digital compositions. The result is a 12x12 digital artwork personalized for children with their picture and name and verse. I've been busy working on the drawings, I'm about 1/4 done with the alphabet. Need a picture or two for each letter. They've been a lot of fun to create. Will have more info on how to order soon. Here's an example...
OOOO....you are so naughty!!! But you did get some awesome shots!!! Hey, peek at the frames with Target online....I was looking earlier and they had a nice 12X12 black frame. Not as nice as the one you gave E....but still nice :o)
