I was so glad to be able to go home this summer...it was just me and Beki this year. And we had so much to do. While we were there, I was able to take my nephew, Michael, out and get his senior pictures done. We headed out early, but it got hot fast. Even so, the park was a great setting for his portraits and we were able to beat the heat.
A few days later, we got up early...5 am! We picked up my mom and headed toward Detroit so we could watch my niece, Linzy, skate in a competition. We promised her if we were ever in Ohio during one of her competitions, we'd come. She's a beautiful skater and I can't wait to see how far she goes!
Beki and I helped mom and Allie prep and address her wedding invitations.
...and we got a chance to meet my mom's new puppy, Ruby. I think, the sweetest dog I've ever met!!
When we weren't galavanting around Toledo, we were visiting with mom, Betty, and Jerry. They are always so welcoming and we love our time out with them. Betty helps ground me when at times, I feel my life spinning. I am so very blessed to have two moms in my life!! Both who listen, support, give advice, and push me to be my best. Love you both!!

Little time has been spent outside this summer...the temps have been extreme reaching into the 100's some days. Thank goodness for a busy summer. Beki and I made a trip back to Ohio end of July for my little sister Allie's bridal shower. Ari is her Maid of Honor but because of school commitments was unable to make it back for the shower. It's hard to believe that the same year John and I will reach our 25th anniversary, Allie will get married just 4 days past our anniversary. The shower was really nice. Had a great time visiting family. Of course, I was designated photographer! Congrats, Allie and David...can't wait for the wedding!

Michael was a trooper on the day of our shoot. We were in the middle of record high heat, so we hit the road early. Despite the high humidity and high temps, we were able to complete his photo shoot. We got some great shots. He was very patient and did a great job!!

The new school year is fast approaching and I've been busy designing some fun announcements. Seniors will love these postcard size announcements. The front includes photos from your session. The back can be customized with your personal information such as graduation information or party invitations.

We didn't get the best weather for viewing the mountains while in Washington State. Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier were shrouded in clouds pretty much the whole time. However, being that it was still early in the year, the waterfalls were flowing beautifully.
