Magic Kingdom

Who doesn't love visiting Disney World, especially when you can do it on a special person's 5th birthday.  Their excitement is contagious.  I was treated to a day at the Magic Kingdom to celebrate Eyobi's birthday.  It turned out to be a perfect day.  Loved all the fall decorations.  It's been many, many years since I was there with my own girls and a lot has changed.  There are new rides and shows and even though the park is geared to little people, I think adults feel the wonder and magic that this little world provides as well.

Here are a few pics of the new attractions.  Well, new to me!

And, of course, Disney is awesome at night.

Honeymoon Island Beach

Had a wonderful time visiting my friend, Michelle, and her family in Tampa this past week.  We packed the week full of talking, drinking coffee, Disney World, hockey games, and the beach.  It all came to an end sooo fast!  I will surely treasure this time I had with her.  We headed to Honeymoon Island beach on a partly cloudy day, but it turned to storms fast.  We made a quick exit when the lightening started around us.  I'm pretty sure it was monsoon season as we got torrential downpours almost every afternoon/evening.

Changes on the Horizon

This time of year...love it!  We've been taking advantage of the cooler temps and walking different parts of the town.  Forest Park is always a favorite, but we've been down by the river and yesterday was perfect for a short hike out at Shaw Nature Reserve.  There is just the slightest hint of color beginning to appear in the trees.  The prairie grasses were so pretty in the blowing wind.

I'm feeling the winds of change in our life again...a new season may soon begin.  It's so hard taking that first step that can change the course of a lifetime.  But, sometimes, I think, we just have to jump in with both feet and see what God has in store.  Don't you wish that He would just write it in the sky, tell us what we should do.  Well, as we all know, it's not that easy.  I have to rely on the peace I feel when a decision has been made, that it was the right one.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

in all your ways submit to him,
