Waikiki Day 1

John, Beki and I had a great flight to Oahu starting out flying Southwest to Chicago then on to Portland, OR.  We stayed the night there and flew out the next morning, a 5 hour flight.  The flight was easy and exciting knowing we were on our way to Hawaii!!  Our friends, Daryl and Michelle, met us at the airport and brought us gifts and leis.  After a few hours at the beach, we had dinner at a hamburger joint.

 We had thunderstorms the first night.  This picture lit up by lightening.  You can see Diamond Head mountain in the distance.

First morning.  I woke up up at 5 am!
