Easy Christmas Project

Finally got a chance to get back to this project.  A few years ago, I painted some vintage game boards and this idea stemmed from that project.

I drew the tree onto the square piece of wood and painted the design using a combination of chalk paint and acrylics.  The lettering was applied by using stencil.  With a Sharpie, I traced the design, then sanded a bit to give it a worn look.  I applied a tinted wax over the board.  I cut the wood for the frame, painted and sanded them, then applied a stain for the worn, vintage look.  Apply stain to the back of the board as well to give it a finished look.  I used a wooden cutout for the star and glued it to the board and added a metal handle for hanging.
