English Living

Yesterday, while walking around downtown St. Louis, John and I came across this European furniture store, English Living nestled in the bottom floor of this old warehouse.  We both fell in love with it.  There's an English Tea Room attached that we plan to go back and visit.  Of course, my hubby, loves all things European.  I asked the salesman if I could photograph some still lifes.  Visit them at http://www.englishliving.com/

Downtown St. Louis

John and I are trying to do more walking...he says I've got to get in 10,000 steps per day!!  You're kidding right?  He even bought a pedometer so he can track his steps.  Well, because of this, we are trying to find places new to walk.  Yesterday we found ourselves in downtown.  We've been to the arch, but never walked around the downtown area.  We have a great downtown with lots of historic buildings.  We found a little coffee shop to stop and rest at and talked about what it would be like to live downtown.

Laumeier Sculpture Park

We've heard about the sculpture garden for years, but finally took a trip out to see it.  It's a great walking park with trails leading to different modern art sculptures.  I take beautiful photos of everyone else, but have never had any taken of me.  So, John endulged me today and we took pics of each other.  We ended the afternoon at Sesame Chinese Restaurant.

Time For Fall

The air is cooling and it smells of dried leaves and warm fires.  It's when we look forward to apple cider, hot cocoa, and, my favorite, pumpkin spice lattes!  I spent the morning unpacking the fall decor and making our home feel warm and cozy.  I couldn't help snap a few photos to share.

Rural Art

I was thrilled with the chance to go on a day trip to look for old barns in northern Ohio this past week.  We happened upon a few old beauties.  Here's my intrepretation of rural Ohio.

The Gift

Delivered this week, a gift I never expected arrived in the mail.  This story begins, it seems a lifetime ago, when I worked at Owens Comm...
